Parents, I handed out the packet for the personal narrative that is due Oct. 28th. In the packet are the directions, an example, brainstorm activity, 2 checklists for after completion, and a rubric. We completed the brainstorm activity last week. During the week before conferences your child will receive a date that their rough draft is due. Please try to help your child with this assignment. Also, I have handed back 1 quiz so far and another one will be handed out at conferences. If your child received a grade they are not happy with they may correct it and turn it back in. They will receive half of the points back that they missed. They must explain why the new answer is correct in order to get these points. Thanks. Welcome Back! 08/19/2011
Hello parents and students! Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year. On my website you will find information on each class, homework, helpful links, and pictures from throughout the year. I am excited to be teaching both 6th and 7th grade again this year. All students are asked to follow the Junior High Expectations: 1. We will come to school with a positive Christian attitude. 2. We will show respect for all people and for our environment. 3. We will honor our own and other people's opportunities to learn. 4. We will be prepared for class and turn in our assignments in a timely manner. 5. We will follow the St. Nicholas rules as stated in our school handbook. Along with these expectations each student is required to fill out their planner after each class and have it signed at night. |
